Reversed Insanity [IR] (Warning, image heavy)
Welcome to the Reversed Insanity recruitment post. I am glad you are here...
So. Maybe you have a guild, but it's full of losers. Maybe you don't have a guild. Maybe you have a guild you like, but you felt like looking at this post because you look at threads in GWG's PvE Guild Recruitment board for fun, you weirdo.
First, let me cover what Reversed Insanity is not.
- Family friendly.
- "High-end."
- Polite.
- Active. Well, depends. Sometimes I play a lot, other times I gotta do other stuff, yknow what I mean? It's not that I have a life, it's just that I use my lifeless time for other stuff. Like 4chan.
- PvP focused. I do AB sometimes (well, not these days, seeing as JQ is effortlessly easy to farm) but that's about it.
- Australia. Our guild hall is not Australia, and as such does not contain dropbears, unfortunately, though I may request it at Sardelac Sanitarium someday... only to be mercilessly harassed by the No Fun Patrol.
What Reversed Insanity is
- A tribute to an older guild called Reversed Insanity [LR]. Yes, that was a typo, yes, the old leader realized it when he made the guild, no, he did not change it. We're [IR] though, don't you worry about that.
- Fun. Well, depends what you call fun. You can say whatever you want, as long as you're not spamming, and saying stuff is fun when there're people listening (and when I'm online and vanquishing and shit, I like to read the things people type).
- Potentially, a place to meet up for vanquishing, HM missions, dungeons, etc. Depends of course, on if I get a long people.
- A guild with Zahr Dalsk as Guild Leader. I think that speaks for itself really, and if you consider that a bad thing then I'm not sure I want you anyways. Not certain though.
- Kurzick. Only for now though; someday I'll get Savior of the Kurzicks, and by Biblegod, when I do, I'll change the guild to Luxon and work on THAT title track.
Still with me here?
Awesome.
Why you should join Reversed Insanity:
1. You'll have a psychedelically groovy guild leader.
2. We've got a neat cape.
3. The Guild Hall's partway full. Well not exactly halfway, but it's got a fair amount of the useful NPCs.
4. You're under no obligation to come online regularly. As long as you're online every now and then (such as on weekends sometimes, or every couple weeks) or, more importantly, are an active Guru poster, it's all cool.
5. There are no abusive officers. Indeed, there are no officers at all, since Ben stopped playing, and he's the only other guy in it right now. Fookin' officers.
Damn, that's an awesome gun.
6. If you're a new guy or whatnot, I can offer gameplay tips when I'm online. I can also wiki stuff for you since my computer doesn't suck ass.
7. When/if we grab a (new) alliance, I won't be doing That Thing That Some Guys Do. Let me explain what I mean. Sometimes, if you talk some shit in an alliance, the other guilds get all pissy and they contact your guild leader and the guild leader makes you stop. Bugger that, I join in the shit-talking.
8. No VoIP server. That's right, you don't have to worry about everyone talking on Ventrilo or TS or whatnot and leaving the ingame chat empty and leaving you out.
9. Isle of Meditation. It's a pretty awesome island. But, better yet, I also enjoy wasting money on isle changes when the current isle gets boring, so there's a change of scenery every now and then. Right now I've got three sigils locked and loaded and ready to roll.
Reasons why NOT to join. Because, hey, I might as well give a few warnings.
1. Lack of members. This is like, the first serious recruiting I've done, and all we have here is me (and The Afk Assassin Ben, who is never online, because he has a life, unlike me).
2. I'm not that reliable for being online either. Sometimes I've got real-life obligations. Websites need building, forms need updating, help needs doing around the house, and I can't be online all the time.
3. No alliance yet. But I'll bloody well find one if there's a serious interest in this guild.
4. You might be a luxon, and IR isn't ready to be luxon just yet. (Y'can still join, you just won't be able to do Luxon AB or hand in Luxon faction for guild.)
5. That's just about it.
So join Reversed Insanity. PM me on the forums or contact me ingame. (IGN Animus Eversius or Powered By Caffeine). Forums would be best though, I browse them a lot but I often leave GW running in the background without setting status to away and then I miss messages.
Officers
Let me explain the deal with officers.
- I don't really see the need for it. If someone's spamming guild or alliance chat y'can always just notify me on Guru or Xfire and I'll investigate within 24 hours, usually less.
- If I am picking officers, there are a few requirements.
1. I need to know you well.
2. You need to be on my Xfire friends list.
3. I need to have known you for a couple months.
4. You need to not have asked to be an officer.
5. I need to figure you're a fairly reliable bro.
